Event Details

On the Road. 5 90 minute classes. Parents drop off for first hour and join the last 30 minutes for group activities and craft. Relive your childhood, with your child. Every song is likely to revive a memory from your summer's past. Play Eye Spy and find shapes in the clouds to pass the time. Take an imaginary trip to vacation destinations in a bus named "Van Go." Five lessons feature music, stories, snacks and crafts. This camp makes the most of a preschooler's burgeoning imagination and ability to learn more words and solve problems. Take imaginary trips to summer vacation locations such as the carnival, a summer cottage, and the beach. Parents also learn more about how music improves a preschooler's ability to think, reason, create and express. Imagination is the opening act for problem solving and learning math. In the midst of pretend play your child strives for new words when he explains what he sees and what will happen next. (We will not meet the week of July 4th)

Kindermusik of Clayton & Voice of Clayton

Since 1994 Kindermusik® of Clayton has provided music instruction to children, from birth to 8 years of age, through a variety of classes in Clayton, North Carolina. The Kindermusik® curriculum teaches an integrated, whole child approach to music education focusing on process rather than performance. It is a unique program of music learning and enjoyment that nurtures the total development of the young child. An integral part of each child’s experience is the focus on family interaction during class and the encouragement to continue the learning experience during the week, at home, so that music becomes a natural and important part of family life. Kindermusik® of Clayton believes the parent to be the ultimate teacher and provides appropriate instruction and guidance for the parent to be successful in a musical environment. Kindermusik® of Clayton will provide each participant quality instruments and materials that are recommended by Kindermusik® International as a part of the Kindermusik® requirement.
